Wayne has advised on assignments covering the design and implementation of the full spectrum of human resource systems. He has worked extensively with executive teams to address strategic human resource issues. Over the last 20 years in executive human resources, he has transformed the culture, direction and focus of various companies into employee-driven organizations. Whether it was a union or non-union operation, a stand-alone company or a division of a Fortune 500 company, Wayne has been effective in positioning people, quality and performance as significant competitive advantages.
Providing strategic HR leadership, he has helped companies change and go forward through guidance on issues pertaining to human resources and organizational development. He believes that in today’s business environment, HR must become a leader in identifying new business opportunities, defining business strategy and company priorities, and preparing the organization for change.
Wayne’s industry focus has been in aerospace, defense, automation, automotive, and high technology niche industries. He holds a BA from Jacksonville University, Certifications in Labor Arbitration, Employment Law, and a Professional in Human Resource Management, as well as other credentials in industrial technology.
In addition to his generalist and executive management skills, Wayne is an accomplished public speaker. He has addressed numerous professional groups, including designated feature speaking assignments at National Symposiums and Conferences on subjects ranging from lean thinking to the human resource role in the 21st century, to benefit design and cost containment.
Dave Gustafson Associate – Quality Systems / Lean Manufacturing
Dave Gustafson specializes in the development of effective ISO 9000, QS9000, and TS16949 based quality management systems. He has assisted a diverse group of industries and organizations with the documentation and implementation of the ISO, QS, and TS requirements and possesses a record of registration success.
Dave has developed extensive quality management services for manufacturing institutions throughout the region. He brings a practical, proven approach to quality management system improvement through an extensive background in interpreting and applying quality standards. This ‘hands-on’ experience facilitates the avoidance of documentation rework and promotes a stream-lined cost-effective approach to quality management system implementation which is focused on the continuous quality improvement of the organization.
As a Six-Sigma Blackbelt, Dave also possesses broad experience with the implementation, training and maintenance of employee involvement and quality improvement teams with a proven track record of cost reductions and quality improvements. He has a unique ability to utilize a wide variety of improvement and quality tools such as -

Dave is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), and is a Certified Quality Auditor.
Jo Nelle Banks Associate – Lean Manufacturing / Business and Human Resource Systems
Jo Nelle Banks specializes in lean manufacturing concepts, as well as business systems and human resource administration. She has over 10 years of manufacturing experience that is highly diversified in respect to positions held and types of industries. She has held key human resource and lean manufacturing positions with companies in the automation and aerospace industries.
Jo Nelle received her lean training beginning in the1990’s as a lean facilitator and has since facilitated well over 200 training and problem-solving events. Her strength in group facilitation has enabled her to teach lean concepts and value stream mapping in both domestic and international arenas.
She has applied lean in companies that produce high volume as well as lower volume products. Over the past 7 years, Jo Nelle has been intimately involved in shop floor improvements, administrative improvement activities, and non-traditional events such as improvements in the engineering new product development process.
Jo Nelle has keen insight into the learning process as well as the human side of business, and is an expert in needs analysis, presentation skills, course development, and group facilitation. Her in-depth lean knowledge, unique instructional techniques, and excellent people skills have consistently received rave reviews from colleagues and business leaders.
